How is Paver Made?
They are blocks formed by pouring concrete mortar into molds produced in certain forms and pressing. Paver production is a more professional job compared to other block concretes. The reason for this is that it is constantly exposed to external conditions and, as it is a ground cover, it is constantly eroded due to environmental factors. The machines manufactured for the production of paving stones are called paver machines. Paver machines are also called block machines, but there is a difference between them.
Block machines are block machines with a single mortar bucket. Paver machines, on the other hand, are machines with double mortar buckets. The task of the second mortar bucket ensures that the upper surface of the stone is produced differently. It allows the production of two-layer cobblestone. The bottom layer of the two-layer cobblestone is normal concrete. The top layer is formed with colored mortar made of fine aggregate. Since the upper surface of this paving stone is smoother and the colorant is used only on the upper side, the production cost of the stone decreases significantly and this is a situation that increases profitability.
Since the paving stone has a complete feature without holes on its surface, it is a job that requires more professionalism compared to the production of other perforated block concretes (block, hollow block, grass stone). While the upper mold pressurizes the mortar poured on the mould with hydraulic pressure, a vacuum is created due to the combination of the upper mould and the lower mould. This vacuum is undesirable. When the upper mould is lifted, it causes swelling due to the vacuum formed on the surface of the parquet, which indicates that the pressure is not at the ideal level.
In order to prevent this situation, unlike the briquette machines, there are vibration motors not only on the bottom of the mould but also on the upper mold. These motors serve to eliminate the vacuum effect that may occur by providing vibration. Paving stone can be created in different forms in size and design, depending on its location and task. Keystones are generally used on the pavements built to separate the pedestrian road from the vehicle road. Rectangular stones are used in city courtyards.
