Design for Nature and Freedom

Bringing Comfort Together with Minimalist Design Concept

For nature and freedom

How does the design and production process of the products work?

First of all, every company that manufactures its own product, regardless of the sector, should have a design philosophy. Of course, we also have a design philosophy. Products designed in line with this philosophy; It reaches the mock-up stage by passing several tests such as applicability and being salable. At this point, the product is examined in detail and presented for criticism from inside or outside the company. We have repeated the mock-up phase a few times. Next is production with our technological machinery and masterful touches. From this explanation, we can define our manufacturing as a good blend of design, engineering and craftsmanship.

What is your design philosophy?

I can sum up our design philosophy in two words. NATURE and FREEDOM. “We imitate too, only nature!” This slogan actually gives a solid clue about our source of inspiration. I would like to open up a little though. Nature makes amazing designs. It is our duty to use these images vaguely… This is exactly what we are trying to do. For example, it can be seen that we were inspired by the foot of an iguana when designing the KANT executive suit in our latest collection. After all, isn’t design the art of imitating nature? I believe that we can create environments in which human beings will not stand in the way, only by being inspired by nature.

I hope what I am saying is incomprehensible as if we are ignoring ergonomics and functionality. In addition, our emphasis on freedom in design can be explained as trying not to restrict our thoughts. Not knowing the limits of technology, or at least forgetting because this is not possible is the highest level of simplicity a designer can achieve. That’s when the constraints of technology are forced.

Who is in your design team?

I think a designer who drinks his tea without sugar will design a more interesting teaspoon than one who uses sugar. This is of course debatable. As Schopenhauer said, “Every pattern you acquire becomes a cover over your free thought.” Here we are a team of 3 people who stay away from these patterns. The ego of this team lays the foundations of the design. In later processes, all company employees can be involved.

What is your difference from other office furniture brands?

When we compare each of the other companies separately, our different advantages emerge. We use more advanced technology than some. According to some, our after-sales service is superior. If we look in general, our design difference becomes obvious. We make products that users will feel special. We can say that we are a company that continues on its way without paying attention to terms such as “running product”.

What do you pay attention in your material choice?

In fact, a designer should keep an equal distance from all existing or even non-existent materials. When I say that it does not exist yet, I think that he should even demand the material of his dreams. This is how we behave. I have to admit that we discriminate against wood. I think my being a forest industrial engineer has an effect on this. Besides, leather, laminate, glass and stone are materials that we bring together with wood. We never compromise our quality standards in the supply of these materials.

What should users pay attention while choosing office furniture?

Users make socio-economic and cultural preferences in furniture selection without realizing it. Other than that, what I can say is actually limited. Quality is the degree of relevance to the need. So they should buy the furniture they need. Sometimes the need can be dignity, sometimes it can be to feel special. In summary, I can say this. Your office should reflect you…
