As for plastic packaging, plastic packaging began to be used during World War II. The rate of spread of its use is in the 1950s. However, it is a substance that has increased its use since the 70s.
The products obtained from petroleum refineries are processed in petrochemical facilities and take the form of plastic packaging. The most widely used type of plastic packaging is pet packaging. Pet packages are thermoplastic materials. Pet packages can contain gaseous and moist products. They can be made in different sizes and can contain different products. They become semi-rigid or rigid in thickness. Thus, they are resistant to impacts. Pet packaging that is too thin will not be safe. They are mostly transparent and colorless.
